Summary |
These are some of the updates that I reported to the Board of Directors last week:
- I am very excited to report that we now have more than 900 household memberships (904 to be exact), including 172 Plus Givers, a new high for us! In addition, we now have a total of twenty-seven corporate sponsors (another new high), with six new corporate sponsors this year and one sponsor who increased their sponsorship from Silver to Platinum.
- An Evening with Michael Solomonov and Steven Cook two weeks ago was a wonderful event. Thank you to Scrub Daddy for sponsoring the event and everyone who worked so hard to put it together. There was a wonderful turnout, with more than 420 attendees. The pre-reception and dessert provided by Deluxe Catering, inspired by recipes in the Zahav Home cookbook, were very well received, as were the swag bags with numerous items supplied by our sponsors.
- I am collaborating with a contractor to discuss enhancing various areas of the building to be more accessible for those with mobility issues, including the installation of additional railings on the bima, as well as additional grab bars for the restrooms.
- Our Festival of Lights Hanukkah Fireworks Celebration, held at KBA last month, was a blast. It was a tremendous success, with well over four hundred people in attendance. We were happy that we received enough rain in the weeks leading up to the event to allow the state to lift the no-fire ban. Thank you to all who volunteered to make this event another success.
- We have retained The Lapin Group, a funds development consultant, for a one-year engagement to assist us with fund development initiatives in the coming months.
- Monthly budget meetings continue for all departments to compare the budget vs. actual revenue and expenses. Preparations for the FY26 budget are underway.
Shabbat Shalom, and I look forward to seeing you in Shul. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you can always reach out to me at rons@tbsonline.org or (856) 751-6663 x218.
